Based in Athens, Greece, Greeka.com is a renowned company with much success and experience in tourism and travel services. Inspired mainly by its willing members, as well as its own desire for fun, Greeka organizes its first Photo Contest. The contest has already started and it will continue to the 31st of October, 2008. Participation:
The most interesting part of this contest is that it is free to anyone who wants to participate, with no distinction between professionals and non-professionals. The only thing required is to be registered to Greeka’s member area.
Pictures types:
The kind of the pictures is not an issue either, once of course they are related to locations of Greece or the Greek islands. Whatever category the pictures belong to, whether they concern landscapes, people or architecture and whether they are colored or black and white, they are all more than welcome to the Greeka’s Photos contest!
The archives of Greeka and the content of the site itself include thousands of photos from many locations in Greece. However, another thought that brought the idea of this fun contest, was that it would be even more interesting for future visitors to Greece to see the point of view of some members’ pictures, who already have been there. It is the best way for us to promote the country we love.
Prizes:
The 1st winner will be the owner of a Canon D400 camera, a 4 GB Card, as well as a big calendar with the breathtaking pictures of the famous photographer George Meis and 3 George Meis Posters.
However, it does not end here for the rest of the participants. There is also a 2nd and 3rd prize... The 2nd winner gets a Canon Powershot A710 IS camera together with a 4GB card, the George Meis big calendar and 2 George Meis Posters. The 3rd winner takes a 4GB card, the George Meis big calendar and 1 George Meis Poster.
Finally, from the 4th to the 50th winner, they all take a normal George Meis calendar.
Till now, these prizes are exclusively offered by Greeka.com but any additional sponsorship for the prizes would absolutely spice up the game! Greeka is not looking to earn money from the sponsorship but just for the possibility to offer more gifts to the participants.
