Apr 21, 2008 – The Robert Bird Gallery is a purely online gallery which sells and promotes the work of British artists and designers, through a range of materials and mediums such as: jewellery, ceramics, paintings, photography, wood, metal and glass crafts.
We have set up with help and support from the Prince's Trust with the aim to bring you, the customer a high street gallery but online. Although it is often enjoyable to go to a gallery and have a slow walk round looking at the pieces of art it is not always possible as people lives get busier. So we can bring you the ability to browse through a large range of art from the comfort of your own home. With detailed photographs and descriptions we have tried to eliminate the fact that you will not be able to pick up the piece and examine it closely, to ensure that the product you will buy will arrive and look the same as how you envisaged it.
We are constantly searching for new artists and designers to bring you an ever increasing and ever changing selection to choose from, so you don't get stuck just looking at the same pieces over again. So please do check back constantly for the latest arrival.
We strongly believe in the conservation of the planet, so we offer jewellery from Lora Leedham who only uses conflict free diamonds and pearls from cruelty free oyster farms, woodcrafts from Phoenix Woodcraft who only use reclaimed, recycled or salvaged wood which is destined for landfill sites. As well as the artists doing their bit we also try to do ours by using recycled packaging where ever possible.
Alongside just selling the pieces of art we also offer, just in case you want to make it that extra bit special, services such as engraving and commissions from a large majority of the artists.
