Apr 21, 2008 – Celia Gardiner is currently a partner of Watson, Farley & Williams LLP, a leading international law firm that advises on international and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, competition, taxation, dispute resolution, real estate and employment law. Celia joined Watson, Farley & Williams as a partner in 2008, specializing in international project and structured finance. Her practice consists principally of international trade and commodities finance in which she acts for banks, non bank lenders, commodities houses and trade borrowers. Her client list includes BHP Billiton, Fortis Bank NC, HSBC Private Bank plc, Europe Arab Bank plc, Persia International Bank plc and Intesa Sanpaolo. Prior to joining Watson, Farley & Williams, Celia specialized in banking, insolvency and debt restructuring at Norton Rose. She also practiced as a partner at Richards Butler, where she developed a particular interest in trade and commodities finance, working as part of a market leading international energy, trade and commodities team. She attended the prestigious Emmanuel College, Cambridge, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and acquired Law Society Finals with Honors. Celia maintains an equally impressive personal agenda, is active within the community and supports several charitable efforts. She enjoys reading Trade Finance and is a trained classical singer.
