Apr 21, 2008 – How many times have you booked something online and been directed from one site to the other? Not sure about you, but I couldn’t think of one place where I could book everything together on one website. What if you could book a weekend away, airline ticket, with a restaurant booking, golf game, massage and car hire all in the same spot. What better if you could get discounts and special offers included in the booking?

After years of thinking about how to get into cyberspace with a new exciting product, I stumbled upon a restaurant booking website. After looking outside the square I thought, why couldn’t there be ONE place where people could book everything? Why couldn’t you book a golf course online, your car in to a mechanic or a hairdresser along with the most traditional internet booking services such as hotels, accommodation, airline tickets, things to do and tours etc. One portal, for EVERYTHING?
It seemed a logical solution. I decided to go ahead and start what was possibly the start of something BIG!
I was slightly wrong thinking businesses would definitely sign up and advertise on my site with ease, but after multiple attempts on pricing such a model, I decided I needed to risk everything and go for free signup - and pay per booking with a small fee. People started to knock on the door! They liked what they saw.
We're building ourselves up - SLOWLY but I think we're getting there. People are remembering our name and coming back to Book Me In!
Our next challenge is SEO and getting up in the rankings of Google world. I've stumbled on many sites offering top 10 rankings but we're yet to find something that is relatively affordable, and trustworthy for a business such as ours without the possibility of being penalized by Google in the future. Its a challenge for all webmasters but a good product is the start of this and this is what we've got!
