Apr 17, 2008 – The people at Highway Image, Inc, a New Jersey based company, couldn't believe that everyone was happy with all those little white spots in their windshields caused by their toll tag transponders. It turned actually turned out that a lot of people weren't that happy. Some estimate that up to 40% of toll tags are not attached to the windshield of the car where they belong. The two biggest reasons for not attaching the transponders are fear of theft and the fact that people don't like the way they look.
It seemed a natural that an American Flag in the windshield would be a far cry better than a blank spot. So a company was born. Soon other images were offered like the Marine and the MIA*POW logos were added to the offerings.
Highway Image has expanded it's choices to many other images, symbols and logos. They currently offer over a dozen college logos like Penn State, Rutgers, the Naval Academy, Seton Hall, Princeton, Georgetown and others. The company also offers all twelve Astrological signs for those that are looking for a little direction in their life while they drive. It's not all fun and games. Highway Image is also trying to do good while they do well. They donate back a portion of each sale to several charitable causes which include the Special Olympics, Autism Speaks and Breast Cancer Research. They will be adding "Feed the Children" and "CARE" shortly.
