Teeing Off for a Lymphoma Cure 2nd Annual Condon Family & Friends Charity Golf Classic

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 17, 2008 – Santa Barbara, CA … Tom Condon, his friends and family will hit the fairways at the Glen Annie Golf Club on Saturday, April 26th to raise funds for the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF).  

A resident of Santa Barbara, Tom is the owner of TNS Group, a residential real estate development and construction company.  He is also a survivor of follicular lymphoma, a currently incurable form non-Hodgkin lymphoma.  

Following his 2001 diagnosis, Tom started looking for information and support and found both with LRF.  He shares, “I was immediately drawn to LRF’s sense of wanting to help people.”  Over the interceding years, helping other lymphoma patients, survivors, and loved ones has become a major part of Tom’s existence.  As a member of LRF’s Board of Directors, Tom concentrates on raising awareness about lymphoma and funds for lymphoma-focused programming and research.  

As part of this effort, Tom, his family and friends sponsored the Condon Family and Friends Charity Golf Classic last year.   The event raised over $85,000 for lymphoma research.   To follow up on that success in 2007, a second Condon Family and Friends Charity Golf Classic will be held on April 26th.  All net proceeds from the event will go directly toward research to find a cure for lymphoma.

Golf enthusiasts and their families throughout the Santa Barbara area are cordially invited to join Tom and his friends on Saturday, April 26th at the Glen Annie Golf Club in Santa Barbara.  The day starts at 10:30 am with registration, brunch, and driving range, followed by a shotgun start at 12:00 pm.  Cocktails, family buffet dinner, live entertainment, awards presentation, and a raffle get underway at 5:30 pm.
