Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, marketing, business administration or communications, and must have completed 4 semesters of relevant course work. The candidate must have an interest in youth and global engagement or past experience working on related issues. The candidate must be able to intern at Mercy Corps at least 2 days a week, and work 8 to 15 hours weekly for a full semester. In addition, candidates should demonstrate competency in the following areas:
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to work with Access or other database programs a plus
• Excellent organization and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Ability to follow and execute plans
• Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
