Softtek Enhances Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Practice

April 14, 2008 - PRLog -- Monterrey, Mexico – Softtek, a global provider of IT and business process solutions and the largest private IT service provider in Latin America, announced today that it has hired Mary Ellen Mitchell, a veteran of the global sourcing industry, as vice president of strategic sourcing and procurement for its global operations. In this role, Mitchell is responsible for leading business development efforts, providing senior-level consulting, and expanding the company’s capabilities in strategic sourcing and procurement services. Additionally, Mitchell will develop and manage strategic alliances with key e-sourcing and e-procurement service providers.

Mitchell brings high-level sourcing and procurement experience from the customer, vendor, and consultant points of view. Prior to joining Softtek, she worked as a strategic sourcing consultant for a Fortune 500 company and helped implement its strategic sourcing function. Immediately before that, she served as director of global strategic sourcing at Office Depot. In this role, Mitchell created and implemented the company’s global sourcing, vendor management, and corporate outsourcing programs. Her earlier experiences include: founder and president of INET Consulting; general manager, enterprise sales & services at Microsoft; national director at Oracle Corporation; principal at Booz Allen Hamilton; and senior manager at Ernst & Young.
