April 14, 2008 - PRLog -- The Potters’ Guild of New Jersey will host its annual Spring Sale of functional and sculptural ceramics at the Community Presbyterian Church, at 1459 Deer Path in Mountainside (corner of Deer Path and Meeting House Lane) on Saturday, April 26 from 11am to 5pm and Sunday, April 27 from 12pm to 5pm.  Admission is free and credit cards are now accepted for all sales.  This increasingly popular event draws hundreds of customers from throughout northern and central New Jersey and even out of state.  The show is the perfect place to find a unique Mother’s Day gift or a special present for any occasion.

There will be several potters from the area exhibiting their work this season.  Judy Musicant of Mountainside will offer her latest creation of “functional art” using her unique and colorful glaze combinations. Harold Sarvetnick of Mountainside will display his highly original and boldly decorated functional and sculptural pieces.  Norma Messing will be showing her line of beautiful functional ware in an array of new and colorful glazes.  Nancy Zarbock’s large platters, in both raku style and strikingly glazed and decorated with floral and figurative themes, are perfect for any style of décor and are perennial favorites.

Available for sale will be a fabulous selection of vases, wall pieces, pitchers, teapots, platters, casseroles, raku and pit-fired vessels in varying colors and styles, and one-of-a-kind sculptures and decorative objects of art.

For directions to the show, see the Guild website at PottersGuildNJ.org. or call Judy Musicant at 908-233-1633.
