Parenting Oasis hosts family fundraiser- The Mirage Masquerade Ball Saturday April 26th

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 13, 2008 – The Parenting Oasis was founded with the intention of creating a community center for new parents. Open at 3901 Chicago Avenue South, in Minneapolis since October, the center offers quality social and educational opportunities where families could share the joys and challenges of raising little ones, and creating healthy family; openly share ideas and experiences, while their children play and learn in a nurturing environment. We support natural family living and attachment parenting and offer programming in line with our philosophy.

Saturday April 26th, Parenting Oasis is hosting a family dance- The Mirage Masquerade Ball. Tickets are $15 per family in advance ($20 per family at the door) available at the Oasis or through Paypal. (parentingoasis@gmail.com) Come celebrate family with us as we build our center. There will be dancing, great food, crafts, fantastic silent auction items.

Meghan Gordan on Baby Ballroom (www.babyballroom.com) will also be offering a sample of her wonderful class. And there will be prizes for best costumed individual and best costumed family.

Founder and President, Maureen Campion, MS LP is a private practice psychologist invested in supporting new families. “Many fundraisers are grown-up, serious event. We know doing good can be silly, messy and all about kids. This event gives us a chance to celebrate new families while working to raise money to serve them better in the future,” says Ms. Campion. “We would love to be able to offer outreach to more new families. We have created a wonderful environment and are able to offer a wonderful assortment of classes and groups. We welcome all new parents and our drop in center is a wonderful place to meet friends and share the amazing experience of becoming a family."

The Parenting Oasis is supported by community members and volunteers. We offer a wonderful opportunity for people to contribute to their community. We are always looking for volunteers of all ages committed to children and families.
