Apr 12, 2008 – Sources close to Fosse Financial say that the Italian based firm believe that there will be no recession in Germany despite talk that the U.S. slowdown may drag other economies into a similar situation.
The news of Fosse Financial’s opinion concerning Germany’s economic state follows a recent statement by German Finance Minister Peer Steinbrueck in which he said that Germany's economy was in solid shape despite a global slowdown.
"German economic fundamentals are good," Steinbrueck said at the Ecofin summit of European finance ministers in Germany.
A spokesperson for Fosse Financial apparently commented that, according to data compiled by Fosse Financial’s research team, forecasts would be lower than they were before, but that there would still be growth in Germany in the coming year.
