The Guide informs writers of content commonly found in press kits used to promote authors or books, and offers instruction on how to create that content using limited resources. Topics covered in the Guide include press releases, one sheets, author photographs, informative articles and inexpensive, promotional giveaways. This Guide is the sixth in a series which includes:

I’m writing the Guides to help authors who would like to go indie, as I have, but worry they lack the necessary knowledge or technical skills to go it alone.”

Frustrated by the new business model of the highly-consolidated publishing industry, Hamilton has elected to publish her work independently.
