   Girlpez Fashion Magazine announces its plans today to host a Darfur fundraiser party on the 25th of April. Naming the party, April Awakening, the magazine hopes to wake up the community and make them aware of the ongoing genocide in Darfur.
   The party will be at the well-known ice rink, Flyer’s Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ, also home to the Philadelphia Flyers for practice; the party is a dance party for teens ages thirteen to sixteen and will feature today’s hottest music. The dance party will be happening between 7-11 p.m. and admission is ten dollars.
   Girlpez’s newest January-February magazine issue will be on sale at the party for three dollars, and all proceeds from the magazines will be donated to the charity SaveDarfur. With this, Girlpez hopes that the teens in the community will become more aware about the ongoing genocide in Darfur and want to give back.
   Owner and editor in chief of Girlpez, Savannah Britt, said, “I’ve been planning this Darfur event since the summer, and it’s just really something I’ve wanted to do. I really feel it’s important for my peers to know what’s happening in the world.”
