This year we are excited to announce playwright and CSI writer & producer David Rambo as this year’s celebrity judge. David Rambo is well known in the playwriting world and it was this experience that directly led to his working on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”
This joint event allows playwrights whose work may not be seen a chance to be PRODUCED. What sets this event apart from other writing competitions is the rare opportunity it presents: Not only will the grand prize winner receive Write Brother’s full software suite, but the Atwater Playhouse professional Theatre Company will also perform the winning play for a full 6-week run in 2008. With the Atwater Playhouse located just minutes away from all the major Hollywood studios, the play will be seen by industry insiders, fellow writers, agents, directors, casting agents, actors, and a loyal, knowledgeable theatre-going audience. The second and third place winners will receive Write Brothers’ Dramatica Pro software as well as a staged reading of their play by the Atwater Playhouse Theatre Company. The Top Ten winning playwrights will all receive Write Brothers Movie Magic Screenwriter and Dramatica Pro software.

The Atwater Playhouse, located in Atwater Village, CA is a performing arts theatre and school founded with the intention of presenting drama in the most honest and organic way possible – based in the Stanislavski Method. All work and performance done in the space is treated with the same amount of respect for the acting craft that Constantin Stanislavski preached in his writings and teachings.
