“When we received our open house invitation in the mail with a chance to win $50,000, we thought, ‘why not try,’” said Linda Demar. “But never did we think we were actually going to win! In fact, the certified mail announcing our winning sat on the kitchen counter for two days before we let ourselves think it might be true.”
It wasn’t until DirectBuy of Wichita Marketing Associate Michael Lee personally handed over the check that the Demar family finally realized that they indeed were the winners of $50,000. Lee is the marketing associate who sent Linda and Kim Demar their key and booked their appointment.
Franchise Owners Warren Schaal and Kevin Ferrante invited the entire marketing staff and surprised Lee by handing him the check in front of everyone and asking him to present it to Linda Demar. “It was the neatest thing that I have ever done in my life,” said Michael Lee.
