Outsourcing Professionals Hold First Meeting in Portland Area

Nike Executive to Speak at IAOP Pacific Northwest Chapter Event

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Apr 10, 2008 – POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – A keynote presentation from Nike will highlight discussions on building brand and culture in an outsourced environment at the first meeting in Portland of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ (IAOP) newly formed Pacific Northwest Chapter.

The meeting will be held April 24, from 3 to 6:30 p.m., at the Blue Canyon Room of the Tiger Woods Center on the Nike Campus. The event is free and open to users, advisors and providers of outsourcing services who are individual or corporate members of IAOP or their guests.

Nike Director Tim Meier will make a presentation on how the athletic company has evolved into a global player, building brand and culture with providers, and partnering for innovation. The event also will feature a panel discussion with executives from local companies on branding, culture and outsourcing; and a networking reception.

The growth in outsourcing in the Pacific Northwest region led to the formation of the new IAOP chapter in January. The chapter alternates quarterly meetings between Portland and Seattle throughout the year.

The IAOP Pacific Northwest Chapter is chaired by PricewaterhouseCoopers and co-chaired by Safeco Insurance in Seattle and Nike in Portland.

To register for the meeting, e-mail IAOP's chapter coordinator at: amanda.corbett@outsourcingprofessional.org.

IAOP has more than 40,000 members and 30 chapters around the world, based on geography and specialty outsourcing segments.
