Rock On With New Anthology Of Concert Memories

Told in the voice of both musicians who have experienced what it’s like to rock out a concert hall or outdoor venue and non-musicians who have experienced life altering musical events, the book was a labor of love for the authors. “Jon and I were sitting one day at the office we both worked in at the time. We just started talking about our most memorable concert experiences and soon everyone in the office joined in on the discussion. It became clear that this subject matter was perfect material for the book.” Chattman, whose website, TheCheapPop.com, focuses on pop culture, agrees. “This book was a great collaboration, both with Ellen, and with those who submitted their stories. As soon as we reached out to musicians and music lovers, we were inundated with some great stories. Ultimately, this became a book about music and its incredible hold on people.”

Triad Publishing Group intends to formally release the book on September 1, 2008 with a soft release, including a pre-order period, starting on April 7, 2008. As part of the promotion leading to the general release, the company and the authors will participate in a nation-wide book tour and a summer concert tour that will be held both online and offline. Merchandise focused on the book’s subject matter will also be available. “We’re hoping that some of the musicians featured in the book will be willing to release a joint CD to coincide with the September release,” states Firestone, owner of Triad Publishing Group. “Rock On! is the type of book that everyone can and will relate to. Not only have Jon and Ellen done a terrific job but the stories are heartwarming and entertaining.”
