Geeks-In-Route Is Looking For Volunteers For Their "Laptops For School Kids" Program

Geeks-In-Route needs high spirited individuals the volunteer to head up their local chapters for the "Laptops For School Kids" program.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Apr 08, 2008 – Geeks-In-Route is looking for a few good men and women to volunteer to help organize the "Laptops For School Kids" program in their local areas.

This program rewards high school and middle school kids for striving for excellence in their communities, and academics. After seeing the stellar results they were able to achieve at Brandon High School in Brandon, FL, they have decided to spread the program to all cities across the USA, and need good volunteers and leaders in every city.

If you would like to volunteer to head up a chapter in your community, and have the follow qualifications, please contact Geeks-In-Route for further information. I have listed links to do so below.

Qualified individuals must meet the following criteria to be considered:

Must be high spirited
Must be a resident of their community for a minimum of 5 years
Must have good organizational skills
Must be creative
Must have 2 years prior fund raising experience


Qualified individuals will be in charge of:

Planning fund raising events
Planning centrally located award events each school semester
Promoting the program with their local schools
Co-coordinating with the school faculties to determine student finalists each semester
Making contacts with local businesses on Geeks-In-Routes behalf, to secure community funding for your area
