Author of “The Golden Football” to speak at Raleigh RR Society's Apr. 22 Luncheon

Mark Schofield, author of The Golden Football: Replacing Account Service with Account Leadership, will be the guest speaker at the Raleigh Public Relations Society’s (RPRS) monthly luncheon on Tuesday, Apr. 22.

PRLog (Press Release)Apr 08, 2008 – RALEIGH, N.C. – Mark Schofield, author of The Golden Football: Replacing Account Service with Account Leadership, will be the guest speaker at the Raleigh Public Relations Society’s (RPRS) monthly luncheon on Tuesday, Apr. 22. Schofield will discuss what to do when a client rejects a great idea. He will also address other strategies to help public relations professionals evolve from account coordinators into account leaders.

Schofield spent 18 years at McKinney, where he became a partner while overseeing the largest accounts in the agency, leading new business and serving on the Executive Committee. He now runs his own consulting business and helps agencies create a culture of excellence and innovative thinking necessary to succeed in the rapidly changing landscape of the communications business.

The luncheon will take place from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Quinn’s, located in the Crabtree Valley Marriott (4500 Marriott Drive).  Public relations professionals are welcome to attend.  Those planning to attend should RSVP via e-mail to Kelly Hubbard, hospitality chair at kelly@largemouthpr.com by Friday, Apr. 18.  Reservations are needed to ensure that adequate seating is available.  Cost to attend is $12 for members and $20 for guests and is payable at the door.  The cost includes lunch and the speaker presentation.
