Jupiter Florida:  The CPR School, LLC is now offering a mobile CPR, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator - AED Training Service.   Our trainers teach all classes at your location saving your employees time and gasoline.

On Wednesday 11-28-2007 while traveling home from Pittsburgh, Keith Murray, owner of The The CPR School, LLC, used his CPR - AED skills to save another traveler’s life with an AED - Automated External Defibrillator in the Atlanta airport.  Keith Murray stated "Trust me – CPR and AED training is the most valuable skill you can learn.  The life you save maybe a loved one."

Services we offer:

3. Automated External Defibrillator Maintenance & Inspections
Batteries and pads should be inspected monthly.  Most pads expire after 2 years, battery life varies from 2 – 7 years depending on manufacturer.
4. Automated External Defibrillator Software Upgrades
If you purchased your Automated External Defibrillator prior to 2006 your AED may require a software update to reflect the new AHA standards.

* Sudden cardiac arrest claims about 340,000 lives each year
* For every minute a cardiac arrest victim is not defibrillated, their chance of survival drops 7-10 percent.
* Brain death starts to occur in about 4 - 6 minutes after someone experiences sudden cardiac arrest.
* If an AED is used within the first 1-3 minutes there is a 70-80 percent chance of survival.
* Fast and proper CPR nearly doubles the victim’s chance for surviving sudden cardiac arrest.
* Florida's Good Samaritan law protects people who provide emergency care.  This includes CPR, First aid and AEDs.
* June 1-7, 2008 will mark the first National CPR and AED Awareness Week with the goal of encouraging people to establish organized programs that provide CPR and AED trainings and increase public access to AEDs.
