PRLog (Press Release) –
Apr 07, 2008 – Why aren’t people making connections between these types of issues. According to the blog
http://fitnessprogramreview.blogspot.com you would think that North Americans health would be getting better but it seems to be going in the other direction. According to the writer of the blog, who goes by the name Staying in shape there are numerous Government and private websites where these statistics can be easily found.
An example he gives is from the Food and Drug Administrations website
Some FDA reports, estimate the health supplement industry alone to be worth 20+billion dollars and growing.
According to the blog writer:
If you check The National Centre for Health Statistics. Obesity has increased by approximately 10% in children between the ages of six to nineteen between the years 1963 to 2002.
The increase is approximately 15% in adults from 1976 to 2002.
He thinks that these are disturbing statistics because of the impact they have on our health care systems and the debt load that will be handed down to our children and grand children.
