Any true car aficionado knows of Don Yenko and how he cemented his place as a muscle car icon when he convinced GM to install the 427 engines in the 1969 Camaros thus creating the COPO as well as developing an extensive network of dealers who sold his “Mean Ones” which went on to include the Yenko Nova 427, and Chevelle 427.
They also know of the tragic plane crash that ended his life much too early. Because Don never trademarked the Yenko name, nothing with his ambition was released after his passing. Now after being lost in the shuffle and a couple business deals the Yenko name has risen again like a phoenix from the ashes.
