Scaent Group gains a new partner for its Norwegian and Finnish electricity supply

The Scaent Group has changed its supplier of electricity on the Kola Peninsula and has signed a long-term contract with Inter RAO UES for the export of electricity generated by TGC-1, the third largest energy generating company in Russia.

PRLog (Press Release)Apr 07, 2008 – Amsterdam, Netherlands – The Scaent Group has changed its supplier of electricity on the Kola Peninsula and has signed a long-term contract with Inter RAO UES for the export of electricity generated by Territorial Generating Company-1 (TGC-1), the third largest energy generating company in Russia.

As stipulated within the contract, the export volumes will amount to as much as 745 million kWh annually and will be distributed within Finland and Norway.

Notably, one of the Scaent Group’s customers in Norway is the Norwegian Defense Estate Agency.

Welcoming the signing of the new contract Derek McLennan, Scaent Group Executive Vice President, commented: “We are very pleased to sign this contract with Inter RAO UES, as the Scaent Group will now receive an electricity supply from one of the largest generating companies within Russia, which in turn supplements our position within our core Scandinavian market and further enhances our unrivalled reputation for being a reliable, responsible, and transparent energy Group”.
