Based in Switzerland, Berlich is a member of the (ISC)2 Board of Directors Berlich holds and holds CISSP-ISSMP, CISA and CISM. He is chairman of the German Informatics Society's section for Security Management and of the Advisory Editorial Board of UK-based Infosecurity Today. Berlich has an education in Physics and spent several years at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, CERN.
Throughout his distinguished career in IT and global enterprise security management, Berlich was global Information Security Manager for multinational technology company ABB and served as IT Security, Compliance Manager and Delivery Project Executive on many of IBM's largest strategic outsourcing accounts.. Today Berlich leads the consulting team as CEO of Birchtree Consulting.
