"Art Envisions Science" is the theme of the current N.A.W.A. exhibition at the New York Hall of Science, 47-01 111th Street, Queens, NY. Works of many NAWA members interpreting the theme in a variety of media on paper will be on display from May 17 to July 13, 2008. The artists' reception is Sunday, May 18 from 3-5 pm.

First founded in 1889, the mission of the National Association of Women Artists (N.A.W.A.) is to promote women artists with the goal of attaining fill recognition of the scope of their achievements. Through its exhibitions, programs and archives it fosters awareness of the important contributions of women artists of all backgrounds and traditions.

The organization selects new members semiannually into the prestigious 119 year old nonprofit organization. Applications can be downloaded from the website.
