Stocksaver Released!!! A free screen saver that displays stock prices sourced live from the ASX.

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 06, 2008 – Stocksaver is a free windows screen saver that displays stock prices sourced live via HTTP from the ASX Website. Enter the stock codes you wish to have monitored into Portfolio.txt. You can create or edit this text file in any text editor. You can also edit the portfolio via the settings dialog. Add up to 10 stock codes to monitor. Stocksaver monitors these specified share codes and the latest live stock price for each code scrolls across the screen whenever the screen saver is running.

Screen savers are computer programs designed to prevent 'Phosphor burn-in' on (CRT and plasma) computer monitors by blanking the screen or filling it with moving images and/or patterns when the computer is not in use. Today, screen savers are also used for entertainment or security purposes. They have the file extension .scr on Windows PC's.

     SPACE = Pause/Resume
     W = Camera Forward
     S = Camera Backward
     A = Camera Strafe Right
     D = Camera Strafe Left
     PgUp = Raise Camera
     PgDn = Lower Camera
     UP = Scroll Faster
     DOWN = Scroll Slower
     F8 = Debug Mode
     F = Toggle Fog
     ESCAPE = Quit
