Zipidee, the Internet’s fastest growing digital marketplace, announced that they are teaming up with Bay Area radio station Alice 97.3 as a sponsor of their 3-Minute Film Festival. As part of their sponsorship, Zipidee will present a $500 prize to the winner of the Most Original Film award.
The sixth annual festival showcases the top short films in comedy, animation, drama/documentary, and original music video. More than $10,000 will be awarded to the winners at the Film Festival on April 11th at Bimbo’s 360 Club in San Francisco. Hosted by media personalities Liz Saint John and Liam Mayclem, the event includes screenings of the finalists in each category as well as an exclusive screening of a new short thriller starring Hooman Khalili of the Alice Morning Show. The evening also features a special screening of Pixar’s Your Friend the Rat, a short directed by Oscar nominee Jim Capobianco.
Zipidee will have a key presence at the festival, including the sponsorship of the $500 Most Original Film prize. As the leading digital marketplace for PGC (prosumer generated content), they are looking to build relationships with independent filmmakers.
