PRLog (Press Release) –
Apr 04, 2008 – Bariatric Support Centers International will now offer the Body Knowledge™ Assessment to aid bariatric patients in reaching their weight-loss goals. The Body Knowledge™ Assessment will allow weight-loss hopefuls to monitor their total energy expenditure, activity duration and level, steps taken, sleep efficiency, calorie balance and more.
With over 60 million U.S. adults that are considered overweight or obese, BSCI hopes to make a powerful impact on helping that number decrease. The idea behind the assessment is to help those struggling with weight-loss understand how much energy their body really uses and how many calories should be consumed in order to reach their goals.
The Body Knowledge™ Assessment uses the SenseWear® Armband by BodyMedia® to monitor the user’s metabolic information, the information is then analyzed by a Body Knowledge™ professional and recommendations are given based upon results from the armband’s calculations.
