The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) has announced it will launch its new Green Star Multi-unit Residential rating tool in Brisbane on 15th April 2008.

PR Log (Press Release) – Apr 04, 2008 – The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) has announced it will launch its new Green Star Multi-unit Residential rating tool in Brisbane on 15th April 2008.

The rating tool was originally developed for office buildings with the objective of promoting green building programs, technologies, design practices and operations as well as the integration of green building initiatives into mainstream design, construction and operation of buildings.

Since then, it has been adopted in New Zealand and South Africa and specific versions have been released for other sectors including existing buildings, hospitals, schools and universities, as well as for shopping centres.
