Tax Preparation still $9.95 for Late and Economic Stimulus Rebate Filers

OnePriceTaxes announced today that they would not raise their price from $9.95 for the end of the current tax season.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr 03, 2008 -
OnePriceTaxes (http://www.onepricetaxes.com) announced today that they would not raise their prices for the end of the current tax season.  Currently their pricing is $9.95 for federal and state tax return preparation and e-filing.  It is common at the beginning of April for online tax preparation companies to raise their prices to take advantage of late filers.

"We believe very strongly in our 'One Price for Everyone' model" said co-founder Robbie Edwards.  He added, "We don't believe customers who file their taxes online like all the hidden charges associated with e-filing their tax return."

OnePriceTaxes displays their fee for the service on the home page of their site and even reminds their users before they finish filing that their price is still the same.  The fee does not change based on what forms they need to file.  Currently their site supports both federal and state tax returns for most states.  The site also supports a "state only" feature that allows their customers to file just a state return.

This year the tax season ends on April 15th.  Anyone who files their taxes after midnight on the 15th will be subject to a late penalty by the IRS.  Typically the end of the tax season is extremely busy for online tax companies.

The deadline for filing your taxes this season carries even more weight this year.  If you do not file your taxes before April 15th this season, you may not receive the tax rebate from the Economic Stimulus package passed by Congress recently.  OnePriceTaxes advises  customers to use the direct deposit option if possible.  Using this option will allow you to receive your rebate check much sooner than by having the IRS mail you a check.
