MINORITY STUDENTS HONORED Benjamin Banneker Association awards students for math excellence

Benjamin Banneker Association in partnership with Holt McDougal Publishing Company will honor 30 Black students for excellence in Mathematics on April 11, 2008 In Salt Lake City, Utah. One of the graduating students will receive a $1000 scholarship.
 
April 3, 2008 - PRLog -- Benjamin Banneker Association in partnership with Holt McDougal Publishing Company will honor 30 Black students for excellence in Mathematics. The Program will take place on April 11, 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The children to be recognized  were identified by their teachers for outstanding achievement or progress in the area of mathematics.  One of the graduating students will receive a $1000 scholarship from Holt McDougal Publishing Company towards their college education.            

The Program will be held at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
This ceremony is a part of the National Conference of Teachers of Mathematics Annual Meeting and Exposition being held in Salt Lake City, Utah April 9 – 12, 2008.
