FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
Apr 02, 2008 – INCIDE, S.A., a leading supplier of high performance mixed-signal integrated circuits, today introduced the NCD2000 Programmable Capacitor. The device is designed to replace variable capacitors used to tune the frequency response of electronic systems up to 200MHz. The NCD2000 can be set to 1 of 1024 discrete capacitor steps with a minimum step of 63fF. Once the desired capacitor value is selected via a simple digital interface it is stored in the on-chip OTP memory. This reduces the cost of components and manufacturing.
The NCD2000 can be used in a variety of resonant tuning circuits where the programmable capacitive element provides a means for post-manufacturing trimming. Using the NCD2000 along with common capacitors allow oscillator and filter designs to be achieved with Q-values greater than 50. This product is targeted at the Communications, Industrial and Consumer markets in applications such as Crystal oscillators, Sensors, RF transceivers and other various tuning applications from DC to 200MHz. NCD2000's focus is to reduce the cost of manufacturing post-trim by providing a standalone solution that does not require a complex trimming procedure or additional elements to select a desired capacitor value. It is specifically designed for tuning and correcting frequency control devices based on crystal oscillators, where final output frequency is tuned changing the resonant capacitance. Production samples are available in 6-lead TSOT and QFN packaging. # # # INCIDE designs, develops and markets high performance analog mixed-signal integrated circuits used in communications, computing, networking and industrial applications. INCIDE's Mixed-Signal Products include application specific standard products fullcustomized for different customers, with special focus on analog, RF and RFID systems.
