FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
Apr 01, 2008 – Companies are only as good as the people that staff them, so be ready to grow your employees simultaneously with your company’s success. An event management company, Barry Promotions, shares their experience with expanding the staff of a growing company, something which they have recently accomplished successfully.
1. Create the right sales team. As many people know, first impressions are often the most crucial part to any relationship, both personal and business. In the business world, all companies have needs as well as something to offer others. What brings together a company that needs a service, and a company that offers a service is a sales team. Your sales team is going to create first impressions and represent the company, so it is important that they are well-trained and equally important, have a positive attitude. Acknowledge that they are the umbilical cord to the outside world of clients, and can have a very rewarding experience by introducing what can become a successful relationship with a client. 2. Have account manager who fosters relationships. Once the sales team has successfully helped a company team up with new clients, there is another crucial piece of the company puzzle: an account manager. A great initial connection can be made with a new client, but unless that relationship is fostered, it will not grow to its potential. Account managers do everything from maintain in close contact with the point person of each account, to coordinate all logistics, staffing, and traveling. An ambitious account manager at an events management company, such as Barry Promotions, can also take on the role of developing, implementing, and following through on new marketing plans. 3. Expand list of services to accommodate new client’s needs. Most companies start out in a niche, and offer the services they know they can provide. However, it is important to be flexible, and always eager to expand if you want your business to grow. With each new client comes a new set of goals and needs. Be ready to think outside of the box, and come up with unique opportunities to offer each particular client. Additional services should be added to an ongoing list after each new client interaction. By doing this, more services get added to your repertoire, which means the company is continuously growing. 4. Be willing to grow your staff as your company grows. Along with a growing list of services will also come a need for more manpower. Expanding a company is a good thing, so as things get more demanding, be ready to find people to give the new responsibilities to. Taking on new responsibilities with your current staff could end up hurting the company, so embrace the company’s growth by growing your employees along side of it! 5. Balance creativity with hard work and responsibilities. Although it depends on the nature of each company how you do this, there is always a delicate balance that must be found to keep your staff happy and most productive. At Barry Promotions, staff finds a balance between creativity and hard work. Without creativity, a focus merely on constant hard work is an environment hard to stay motivated in. On the other hand, without hard work and responsibilities, the creative ideas wouldn’t be implemented. Balance your staff’s responsibilities with a strong work ethic, but also encourage the motivation it takes to accomplish the great things you expect in your company.
