Professor Arie Y. Lewin of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business will discuss findings from a new survey, Strategic Offshoring Reaches the C-Suite, at the April 2 meeting, 5:30 to 8 p.m., at the Westin Hotel, 21 East 5th St., Cincinnati.
Lewin, an internationally recognized thought leader on globalization, outsourcing and offshoring, will discuss the results of the latest annual survey conduced by Duke’s multi-year international Offshoring Research Network (ORN) project.
The meeting also will include an overview of IAOP, the global, standard-setting organization and advocate for the outsourcing profession with 40,000 members, and a discussion on the new chapter’s objectives.
The IAOP Greater Cincinnati Chapter will meet quarterly and provide a venue for outsourcing professionals in the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana tri-state region to discuss topics of common interest, share best practices and network to maintain their competitiveness and more effectively leverage outsourcing as a management tool.
Bill Metz, Procter & Gamble’s external business development manager, global business services and Lance Kwasniewski, Belcan Corp. division vice president, are chairing the new chapter. The Greater Cincinnati chapter is among nearly 45 chapters of the global outsourcing association established or being formed by geography, industry or specialty outsourcing segment.
The event is free and open to users, advisors and providers of outsourcing services who are individual or corporate members of IAOP or their guests.
