Tourism VC web site will feature sections on Tourism Research, Marketing, Product Development, Technology as well Tourism News from Atlantic Canada, across Canada, and Internationally, as well a Tourism Calendar.
Our Blog, Tourism Research, E-Marketing and New Media, http://tourismvc.wordpress.com , will have its recent posts on the website and a new video will be featured each week on TourismVC. In the first week, the featured video is the NS Highland Village, in Iona, http://museum.gov.ns.ca/
Wilson states the web site will feature web 2.0 tools and encourage tourism operators to learn and use broadband applications in their business. An e-marketing startegy has been developed for the website to assist in promotion, marketing, tracking of results and evaluation.
TourismVC - Tourism Resource Centre web site will be updated weekly providing tourism operators with latest research, news, and developments in Tourism. The site will aslo feature podcasts of interviews of key tourism people and events on Cape Breton Island. In the future, the site will offer on-line training for tourism operators.
