FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Mar 30, 2008 – With Ebay coming down on the digital product market, ordinary Joe's like you and me are no longer able to sell ebooks on there. I know for a fact that I used Ebay in the past to sell my own ebooks, and made some quick coin from it. Actually, it was enough to help me get on my feet with my entire online business.

And to believe, that it all started by asking my customers after the sale to sign up for my email newsletter. Yes, it's that simple.

But besides that, I sold digital items on Ebay to help kick start my online business, when I didn't have a mailing list of customers to turn to. I have even given people advice to start selling their ebook on Ebay with a Featured Ad, to test the market before they launched a website.

Now, they won't be able to. Actually they will...because Ebay says that they can post a classified ad for their digital products, and simply direct the customer to their sales website for it. In essence, Ebay is saying that the only way you'll sell your digital product on their site, is to pay them $9.95 for a classified ad. Isn't that sad?

Ebay has banked millions of dollars from their digital product merchants who sold their information on there. From the reputable merchants, down to the desperate who were selling ebooks on there for a penny just for feedback...Ebay made money off of all of their listings.

So, they want to yank more from digital product creators and authors by making them pay so much more to be listed on their site. I think it's silly, but Ebay has their reasons that are understandable.

A lot of the merchants sold low-quality digital products that were truly worthless and borderline scamming their customers for their money. Ebay doesn't want a part of that anymore, and that's why they're limiting all digital products to mere classified ads that cost $9.95.

So, what's a online marketer to do in this situation? Easy...

1) Use Craigslist.org instead if you really want to go with the 'classified ad' route. It's free to post your item on Craigslist, and I use them all the time to help promote my own products and services, with excellent results. Besides, Craigslist gets more website traffic than Ebay does...so why not put a free ad in front of more people, instead of paying for an ad to be in a smaller group of people's face?

2) Convert your digital product into a tangible item. If you have an ebook, print out the pages, and sell it as a paperback report. You can only sell tangible goods on Ebay now...so print off your ebooks and digital reports and sell them that way.

3) Use the Ebay Profit Loophole method to use your product to leverage your business. This was actually a technique that I developed two years ago to help me make money from my digital goods, without having to post an auction for them. If you want to learn more about this, you can visit:

http://www.ebayprofitloophole.com

There's a 8-week money back guarantee on the product, and you receive bonus information for those who actually like selling tangible goods on Ebay. I stand by my work 100%, and with the guarantee that's set up on the website, you're in control and in good hands at all times.

I wish nothing but good luck to all the digital merchants who were making a living on Ebay with their digital products. It's going to be a little bit harder for you now.
