After a heated exchange with Channel Nine's publicity team who threatened to sue sydney comedian Dan Ilic for distributing burnt DVD's of Underbelly to Comicide audiences at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Instead of sending lawyers the TV network sent in their Head of Entertainment Asif Zubairy to see the show.
So far the critics have raved about the show.

We’d hate to force you to read another press release for another “comedy” show that purports to be the best thing since The Chaser, that’s a bit like Monty Python, and sort of like The Late Show
So if you don’t want to read about it, stop reading now.
Comicide is the best thing since The Chaser, that’s a bit like Monty Python and sort of like The Late Show. Comicide is a fortnightly shambolic sketch show that has been playing for over a year in Sydney’s Mecca of alternative comedy The Roxbury Hotel. You also may have heard some of the Comicide crew perform on Triple J over summer (Comicide Radio), and seen some of them in comedy videos on theage.com.au and Smh.com.au(Howard Vs Rudd Rap Battle / Alan Jones). The Comicide Crew have packed their bags with the funniest sketches they’ve performed over the last year and bring a gloriously absurd, rude and chaotic show to the Melbourne International comedy festival. Starring some of Australia’s best character writer/performers including members of The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, Comedy Inc., and Crash Palace.
See it if you want…. No pressure…
