FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Mar 29, 2008 – World Media Television will produce a segment on “Personal Growth and Discovery” as part of their “World Progress Report” television program. Executive Producer Chad Densen says, “There are a lot of misconceptions out there today surrounding the coaching industry, our goal is to shed some light on those issues and better educate the world on this rapidly emerging field.” Taken from his website, www.timalexandercoaching.com, Tim Alexander, a Certified Professional Coach (C.P.C.) in Oregon offers some insight on one of those misconceptions. “Clients generally come to counseling when they are struggling emotionally with an issue. Clients come to coaching when they are seeking clarity, direction, or accountability. Counseling tends to look at the past, processing feelings, and attempting to understand why the client is having difficulty. The goal of coaching is to deepen the learning and to accelerate the client’s movement forward” explains Alexander. “The emphasis in coaching is to look more to the future and what the client would like to see changed.” he added.

There will be several topics addressed on the series as a whole, and distinct programs will be distributed to public television, covering a wide spectrum of coaching areas, such as career and business clarification, relationships and dating, health and wellness as well as spiritual coaching and life fulfillment.

The World Progress Report is an issue-oriented and non-commercial program, and is independently produced and distributed by World Media Television directly to public television stations around the country. The World Progress Report strictly follows the standards and practices of public television, and is distributed freely to public television stations in all 50 states. World Media Television and its programming are not affiliated with PBS.
