Mar 29, 2008 – World Media Television today announced the production of a special edition program in efforts to bring more and much needed media attention to this emerging American health crisis.
Executive Producer Chad Densen says "the incidence of autism is increasing at an alarming rate and we want to educate parents on the various therapies and treatments that are available" With recent statistics from the U.S. Department of Education and other governmental agencies showing that autism is growing at a startling rate of 10-17 percent per year, and estimates that the prevalence of autism could reach 4 million Americans in the next decade, this special program will feature those personally affected by this heart-breaking disorder and the dedicated researchers, physicians, organizations, and individuals that are at the forefront of efforts to combat, and hopefully cure Autism. Our mission is to create quality programming which will inform, educate and enlighten our viewers both regionally and nationally. The World Progress Report is an issue-oriented and non-commercial program, and is independently produced and distributed by World Media Television directly to public television stations around the country.
