FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
Mar 29, 2008 – World Media Television announced today the production of a new segment on “Understanding Substance Abuse” as part of their “World Progress Report” series. “In fact, some approximate that only 10% of the addicted population is under care… that means 90 %— over 20 million people—are going without help,” explained Chad Densen, producer for the series.
There will be several topics addressed on the series as a whole, and distinct programs will be distributed to public television, covering a wide spectrum of areas, such as Relapse Prevention, Effects on the Family, Today’s Youth, and Alternative Approaches to Treatment. “While there is no cure for addiction, recovery is possible. Through patient centered care, new research and hard work, those struggling can overcome their addiction.” Chad Densen said. The earlier we can intervene, the quicker we can get them into treatment and services, the better chance of sustained recovery in their life. So we’re really excited about this.” Now, the World Progress Report will present many of these solutions, and their inspirations, to its viewing audience. The World Progress Report is an issue-oriented and non-commercial program, and is independently produced and distributed by World Media Television directly to public television stations around the country. The World Progress Report strictly follows the standards and practices of public television, and is distributed freely to public television stations in all 50 states. World Media Television and its programming are not affiliated with PBS.
