"Victim" Selected To Open Milwaukee Short Film Festival May 30th

Kicking off the 10th year of the Milwaukee Short Film Festival will be a night of select films screened at Milwaukee's Alchemist Theatre, 2569 S Kinnickinnic Ave, on Friday, May 30th.  The screenings will end with the world premiere of "Victim", directed by Jason Williams.  Starting time is 7:00PM.  

"Victim" is a dark suspense film written by R.Michael Gull, who also co-produced and stars in the movie.  Gull, a nationally touring stand up comic, has appeared in the films "Indefinite" (also directed by Williams), "Haunted" and Tate Bunker's short film "Perceval".  He also stars in the upcoming sci/fi feature film "Dust", from Lightning Rod Studios, which is currently in production.  Jason Williams is an award winning filmmaker who has primarily worked in documentary films in the past.  "Victim" also features Olivia Barash, who appeared on the television shows "Little House on the Prairie" and "Fame", and in the movies "Tuff Turf" and ""Repo Man".  Barash, who contributed to the soundtrack of the Oliver Stone movie "The Doors", also contributed a song to "Victim".  

The Milwaukee Short Film Festival will run May 30th through June 1st.  The Alchemist Theatre hosts the festival's opening night and second night, with juried screening and awards ceremony to be held at The Times Cinema in Milwaukee on June 1st.
