Atlanta-based consulting firm Transform has signed up for Earth Hour 2008.

March 28, 2008 - PRLog -- Atlanta-based consulting firm Transform has signed up for Earth Hour 2008, joining Atlanta and the “the nights the lights will go out in Georgia” event.  Transform will be joining thousands of companies around the world and cities across the United States in an effort to raise environmental awareness and to make a point about climate change.

Earth Hour was created by WWF in Sydney, Australia in 2007, and in one year has grown from an event in one city to a global movement. In 2008, millions of people, businesses, governments and civic organizations in nearly 200 cities around the globe will turn out for Earth Hour.  The goal of the event is to raise awareness of climate change and demonstrate that by doing a simple thing such as turning off the lights, everyone can make a huge positive impact in fighting climate change.  As part of the event, everyone is asked to turn off all non-essential lights for one hour, 8pm to 9 pm EST.
