Margolin, Winer & Evens LLP Names New Partner – Scott O’Sullivan, CPA

PRLog (Press Release) – Mar 27, 2008 – At MWE, Mr. O’Sullivan serves in the Real Estate Practice Group, where he is heavily involved in tax planning and deal structuring, including 1031 exchanges, cost segregation studies, and other transactions on behalf of prominent real estate developers and investors, property managers, nursing home owners and operators and other diverse businesses. He joined MWE in 1996 as a senior accountant initially serving in the firm’s Audit Department and subsequently the Tax Department. Mr. O’Sullivan started as a general tax accountant with Howe, Riley & Howe, PC (Manchester, NH). In 1996, he relocated to Long Island from Lawrence, MA.

In 2005, Mr. O’Sullivan’s achievements were recognized by Long Island Business News which identified him as one of the Top Five to Watch in Commercial Real Estate. He was also named one of Real Estate Weekly’s “Rising Stars.”

Mr. O’Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Villanova University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Hofstra University. Additionally, he has successfully completed various real estate finance and investment courses at New York University’s School of Continuing & Professional Studies’ Real Estate Institute. He is a member of the AICPA, a founding and current member of the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG), as well as a member of the Point Lookout Civic Association.

He resides in Point Lookout, NY with his wife, Maureen, and their three sons, Devin, Aidan and Ronan.
