Ccmixter Artist ‘Superfly’ Remix Adds Prince-style Funk To Latest Release.

March 27, 2008 - PRLog -- MC Jack in the Box, a featured artist on Jason Brock’s new album “Fly On”, recently uploaded a remix of the title track, adding funk infused beats to pitched-shifted vocal samples, thereby creating ‘Superfly.’

The track is the first of a steady stream of remixes from the ‘longtail’ of Jason Brock’s independent digital release.  ‘Superfly’ is available for free under the creative commons copyright.

On March 20th, the vernal equinox, Jasonbrockmusic.com released songs from the project album  “Fly On” as free unrestricted 256kbs MP3 files in advance of the traditional CD and vinyl releases due out later this year.  Samples, remixes, lyrics and artwork will also be time-released from the website creating an interactive experience for fans and artists alike.  

“Fly On” is Jason’s second solo recording following up the 2004 release of “Plant The Seed”

The album was self-produced and features a cover of Oasis track “Champagne Supernova”. The complete track listing is:
