PRLog (Press Release) – Mar 27, 2008 – The Healthy Back Bag Company is embracing the eco-debate by donating £2/bag from a range of green bags sold both directly to customers and via the Plant A Tree Today (PATT) website throughout 2008.

Green is the new black for summer 2008 and The Healthy Back Bag Company is celebrating all things green by adopting a principled approach to fashion and to bringing nature into our wardrobes.


Priscilla Chase, managing director of The Healthy Back Bag Company based in London comments “We are thrilled to be supporting PATT. As a company we strive to uphold our values of heritage and sustainability and to think that by the end of the year we will have a small Healthy Back Bag forest in Thailand is a very exciting prospect. The work that PATT does has far reaching effects not just in terms of climate change but in supporting poor rural communities and as a company we are 100% behind their efforts”.

In addition to the tree-planting, The Healthy Back Bag Company aims to work with its trade partners to promote the work of PATT and to raise awareness and understanding of the charity’s work.

PATT aims to plant trees can help to combat climate change, provide sustainable economic development for developing countries and reduce the effects of natural disasters.

The Healthy Back Bag® is the world’s first “backbag” and does for bags what the likes of Birkenstock and Crocs have done for footwear in making it cool to be comfortable. The concept arose from a desire to find a one-strap alternative to a backpack. Developed with the help of a doctor and a chiropractor, it can be carried safely and comfortably on either shoulder or across the back, distributing weight asymmetrically rather than hanging from one point on the shoulder, thus reducing stress to neck, shoulders and back.
