culture humor book to be published April 1 by Triad Publishing Group, has named
Toronto-based rockers The Guys' "Man with a Moustache" as its official
theme song. The song, which includes the lyrics "Man with a Moustache...can
take you so high...make your dreams come true...all through the night," was
chosen by 'Bert' co-author Jon Chattman.
"I’m pretty sure 'The Book of 'Bert' is the first book to ever come with a theme song. This is a groundbreaking achievement,”
"I recall yearning for books I read in high school and college to have either a rocking theme song like 'Eye of the Tiger' or an obscurely enjoyable tune like ‘Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs’ from Frasier. ‘Man With a Moustache’ is a song that men can get behind, and women can dance to. I couldn't be more pleased to have it serve as our book's four-minute soundtrack."
The Guys' front man Thomas Love concurred by saying the book/song collaboration is
"bringing the literary world into the 21st Century.”
"It's an exciting and perfect fit. [Our song] is an expression of the moustache experience,”
