FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Mar 26, 2008 – BANGKOK, Thailand - With rapid expansion and transformation of Asian industries along with rising financial pressures, businesses across the region now see the importance of maintaining their building assets, facilities and plants. As companies focus on core business and improvement on thin operating margins, integrated facilities management is gaining prominence against a backdrop of emerging trends such as privatizations, the REIT markets, corporate restructuring, outsourcing practices, cost savings, emphasis on green platforms, etc.

As more building and facility owners and managers realize the benefits of maintenance instead of the traditional “use and replace” policies, there are growing interests in preventive maintenance solutions and building asset management solutions through integrated facilities management and outsourcing of non-core activities ranging from housekeeping, food services, engineering work, and energy management to an array of other soft services.

Building Maintenance & Asset Management Expo Asia 2008 (BMAM Expo Asia 2008) is staged in respond to the emerging market demands and increasing interests in this industry in Asia. This event is scheduled to take place at IMPACT Exhibition and Conference Center, Bangkok, Thailand from 25th to 26th September 2008.

Mr. Loy Joon How, General Manager of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, the organizer of this event said “Building Maintenance & Asset Management Expo Asia 2008 will serve as an annual 2-day international trade exhibition and conference platform dedicated exclusively on building maintenance and facility management across Asia which will bring together all key players in the industry under one roof. This event will also act as an educational forum for building owners, engineers and key decision makers to better understand the benefits and importance of building maintenance and facility management”.

With strong supports from numerous leading industry associations such as Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning (Thailand’s Ministry of Interior), Thailand Facility Management Association, Thai Mechanical and Electrical Design and Consulting Engineer Association, The Building Safety Inspectors and Officers Association, and key inputs from an Advisory Committee Panel comprising of reputable industry professionals, BMAM Expo Asia 2008 is conceptualized as a unique trade event “organized by the industry for the industry.” Mr. Stuart Winters, the Managing Director of Sodexo’s operations in Malaysia and Thailand commented, “One of the roles of the advisory committee is to provide the organizer with our industry input on creating a highly interactive series of workshops and seminars featuring tutorials, case studies, strategies, trends, technology and methods to be conducted by key industry experts that will run alongside the exhibition.”

The show organizer is targeting over 300 international exhibitors, ranging from facility management, maintenance services and software, RHVAC, energy management, safety & security, cleaning services and equipments, and much more, to showcase and promote their latest technologies, equipments, products and services and reach out directly to a targeted audience of over 3,000 key engineering decision makers, maintenance professionals and building and facility owners from across Asia.
