Hollyshorts 2008 To Open With Josh Brolin’s Acclaimed Short Film “x”

PR Log (Press Release) – Mar 23, 2008 – The organizers of HollyShorts announced today that the acclaimed short film “X,” written and directed by Actor/Director Josh Brolin (“No Country For Old Men,” “American Gangster,”) will have its Hollywood premiere as the official opening short film at the 4th annual HollyShorts Film Festival, which takes place August 7-10, 2008. Brolin’s “X” will premiere during the HollyShorts opening night celebration, which will be held in conjunction with the American Cinematheque at the world renowned Egyptian theatre in Hollywood on Thursday, August 7.

HollyShorts also announced today the festival’s weekend screenings (August 9-10) will take place at Laemmle’s Sunset 5 theatre in Hollywood . The announcements were made today by festival co-organizers/directors Daniel Sol and Theo Dumont .

An inmate escapes prison to reunite with his daughter and searches for her murdered mother in order to ultimately exhume her body and give her a proper burial.
