This has, perhaps, resulted in a spark of individual technology experts to begin looking towards leveraging their advanced technological knowhow directly in to business models of their own.

No longer is technology a mechanism to support large corporate infrastructure with repetitive processes and tasks, but rather technology is serving to engineer and innovate traditional business processes. The net result is a dramatic leveraging of human resources that appears to prove most critical in controlling costs among cost conscious markets. Given raising energy prices and recent market slow down, it would be hard to imagine that any market is exempt to such concerns.
The future of business would seem to be inclined towards greater degrees of custom engineered information technology solutions. Organizations requiring sufficient executive training oriented towards moderately detailed technology development would seem not to be isolated towards information officers, but rather to the entire organization. The fundamental components of technology are becoming akin to that of mathematics.
