"Just because she's fun, cute, and makes cooking entertaining doesn't give rag mags permission to write lies and nonsense about her and hubby John Cusimano," says Paul F. Davis author of United States of Arrogance .
"I guess with four hit Food Network shows, 12 million copies of her bestselling cookbooks in print, a self-titled magazine and her own brand of olive oil – not to mention her Daytime Emmy-nominated daily talk show, such brilliant light attracts bugs" says Davis an international speaker and Pulitzer Prize nominated author of Poems That Propel The Planet curling ladies toes throughout the globe.
Davis no stranger to divorce himself (as evidenced in his books Breakthrough For A Broken Heart and Adultery 101 ) mentions: "Were Rachel and John having marital problems, the last thing they would need is the salivating media looking over their shoulder seeking a big story."
Ray told People magazine she has pretty much ruled out having kids for now.
"I don't have time," Rachel says. "I work too much to be an appropriate parent. I feel like a bad mom to my dog [Isaboo, a pit bull] some days because I'm just not here enough. I just feel like I would do a bad job if I took the time to literally give birth to a kid right now and try and juggle everything I'm doing."
Ray has largely remained quiet in the face of rumors about everything from marriage trouble to tensions with mentor Oprah Winfrey to plastic surgery – all of which she now shrugs off with her signature plain-spoken humor.
Concerning the tabloid claim that Cusimano had cheated with two women during their marriage?
"I think they said six actually," Rachel laughingly says. "I've known where he is every night since we've been married."
Whether it's John's alleged foot fetish, or some foul accusations against the couple; the media is always doing something in repugnant fashion to smear the cooking sensation and sell magazines.
Davis author of Are You Ready For True Love? says: "They who don't have a love life are often trying to meddle with those who do to live vicariously through them."
"Don't be swayed Rachel," Paul encourages the cooking sensation. "Just keep on cooking and making us smile."
